1. Purposes of practicum
- General Purpose
The main objective of the teaching practicum is to provide student teachers with authentic hands-on experience in teaching. This is required to develop their teaching skills and to start collecting experiences to enrich their professional wisdom.
- Spesific Purpose
a. To enable Student teachers to develop teaching and pedagogy skills.
b. Encourage Student Teachers to Train their English skills.
c. Allowing student teachers to gain a broader regional and world view.
2. Procedures of practicum
Orientation, Observation, Teaching assistant, Teaching practice, Evaluation and Reflection.
3. Outcomes of practicum
a. Student teachers can integrate knowledge, attitudes and skills professionally in educational institutions both in their country and abroad.
b. Student teachers can develop their abilities, both in class and outside the classroom.
c. The student teachers can find good teaching methods and systems and are very likely to be applied when in their country.
4. The challenges of practicum
- I was faced with the problem of my limited teaching time, this would be a challenge for me to be able to maximize a very short teaching time with a lot of subject matter.
- I also faced problems like different pronouncations and accents between Indonesia and Philippines. Which is where the majority of Filipino people use Spain and Great Britain acccents. So this is a challenge for me to be able to make pupils understand the subject matter that I teach.
5. Overall Impression
I really enjoyed my daily life in La trinidad, Benguet, Philippines. I am very comfortable with the hospitality of the people around BSU, the traffic regulations that prioritize pedestrians, the beauty of scenery and buildings, and the friendliness of the pupils at the Elementary Laboratory School - BSU. Living in Benguet for one month is not enough for me.

6. Suggestions for future improvement
- For Sea-Teacher Project, my suggestion, one is to create a website page that contains information about all things related to the required report form, so that student teachers can directly download the form format that will be used anywhere.
- For Benguet State University (BSU), my suggestion is expected to pay more attention to the facilities needed by Sea-Teachers participants such as internet connection, availability of water for daily needs, availability of tools to print and multiply useful documents when the Sea-teachers participants want to print lesson plans and lesson materials. In addition, ELS should coordinate with the canteen service providers to prepare halal foods (fried chicken) that are not fried with pork or use pork oil. Our concern is that we cannot go back to the dorm as fast because of the distance. If we are going to go and eat at the dorm, how much time are we going to spend walking, it will also include the time we spend to cook and last it will aslo include the time we walk going back to ELS for our first class in the afternoon.
